Privacy policy
Last updated:
We collect only what we need to run your account, your orders and your library, and we never sell your personal information.
The short version
- We collect your account details, your orders and your reading progress so the site works for you.
- Payments are handled by Paysight. We never see or store your full card number.
- Emails are delivered by Resend, and the site is hosted by Netlify.
- Analytics or advertising cookies are used only if we turn those tools on.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information anytime.
Who we are
Covenant Path is run by Covenant Supply LLC (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use covenantpath.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account information: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure one-way hash, so no one at Covenant Path can read them.
- Orders: what you bought, prices, dates, your order number, and the details you give at checkout, such as your name, email, country, state and (if you choose to give it) phone number.
- Membership: your membership status, billing dates and any cancellation requests.
- Reading activity: which guides and sections you've read, your reading progress, and the bookmarks and notes you save, so you can pick up where you left off on any device.
- Messages: what you send us by email or through our contact form. For contact form messages we also record the IP address it was sent from, to prevent spam.
- Email signups: if you join our email list, ask us to tell you when a printed edition is available, or tick the “email me news and offers” box at checkout, we store your email address and where you signed up.
- Reviews and surveys: if you write a review, we store your name, the location you give, your rating and your words, and we may publish them on our site. If you answer our short “How did you hear about us?” question after an order, we store your answer with that order.
- Gifts: if you send a guide as a gift, we store the recipient's name and email and your message so we can deliver it, and we record when a gift link is redeemed.
- Technical information: like most websites, our servers receive your IP address and browser type. We record them with orders to help prevent fraud, and use them to protect sign-in and checkout from abuse.
- How you found us: if you arrive from a link with campaign tags (for example, from an ad), your browser stores those tags and the page you came from, and we attach them to your order so we can tell which campaigns help people find us.
Payments
When you pay, you type your card details into a secure payment form provided by our payment processor, Paysight. Your card details go straight to Paysight. We never see or store your full card number or security code. Paysight sends us limited information about each payment, such as the amount, the result, the card brand and the last four digits, so we can show your order history, handle refunds and manage your membership.
How we use your information
- To give you access to your guides and library, and to save your reading progress.
- To process orders, membership renewals, cancellations and refunds.
- To send the emails you need: order confirmations, sign-in and account emails, membership reminders before each renewal, and replies to your messages.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To protect our customers and our store from fraud, abuse and security threats.
- To understand how our website is used and make it better.
- To meet legal duties, such as tax and accounting rules.
We don't send marketing emails unless you've agreed to receive them, and you can unsubscribe anytime.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Covenant Path, and only as much as they need to do their job:
- Paysight processes payments and membership billing.
- Resend delivers our emails.
- An email marketing provider (such as Klaviyo), only if we turn it on, to send the marketing emails you signed up for.
- Netlify hosts our website.
- Our database provider stores account, order and reading information for us.
- Analytics and advertising providers (such as Google and Meta), only if we turn those tools on. See cookies and browser storage.
We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
Cookies and browser storage
- Essential cookies keep you signed in and connect your browser to your checkout. The site can't work without them.
- Browser storage: we save your cart, whether you've seen our welcome message, and the campaign tags described above in your browser's local storage. You can clear it anytime in your browser settings.
- Analytics and advertising cookies: if we enable tools such as Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel, they set their own cookies to measure visits and ad results. These tools are off unless we enable them, and we'll update this policy when we do. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
- Account and reading information: while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize it, except what we must keep by law.
- Order and payment records: as long as tax, accounting and legal rules require, which is usually several years.
- Messages: as long as we need them to help you and keep a record of our conversation.
How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site, store passwords as one-way hashes, keep card details out of our systems entirely, and limit who can see customer information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect yours.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us to:
- show you the personal information we have about you;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete your account and personal information (we may need to keep some order records for legal reasons);
- send you a copy of your information.
Email support@covenantpath.com from the address on your account, or use our contact form. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We'll respond within 30 days, or sooner if the law where you live requires it. Depending on where you live (for example, California and other U.S. states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights, and we'll gladly help you use them. You won't be treated differently for using your rights.
Children
Covenant Path isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. Parents and guardians are welcome to buy guides and read them with their families. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we'll also let customers know by email or on our website.
